About The New Tanning Tax

As of July 1, 2010, the federal government is adding a 10% tax on the cost of indoor tanning services that involve UV light.  This tax was included as part of the  health care reform bill recently signed into law.  Radiance A Tanning Salon and the Indoor Tanning Association strongly opposed this tax.  lawmakers added it to the final bill with no input from the industry regarding its impact and failed to give the industry opportunity for amendment.  It is our understanding that the IRS will issue regulations on implementation of the tax prior to July 1, 2010, and we will provide that information to all of our customers as soon as it is available.  We regret that we are required to charge this tax and encourage you to contact your elected officials with an comments.
